Check out the t-shirt and earrings I just got from Shabby Apple.
T-shirt: Shabby Apple
Earrings: Shabby Apple
Necklace: Homemade by an aunt
Shorts: LOFT Outlet (Only available in store)
Shoes: TOMS Ballet Flats (This style seems to be taking a vacation.
A few are left in the last chance section)
I have never had a t-shirt this soft. It feels like silk against my skin. This is the Chatham Tee from Shabby Apple. Basics are a very important piece of my wardrobe. I tend to be warm all the time (even during the winter) so I like to layer with cardigans or accessories. It is a nice summer day today so I opted for accessories.
My earrings are also a pick from Shabby Apple. They are called the Pompeii Earrings. I love the intricate design. It reminds me of little leaves that have dried up after fall.
I discovered Shabby Apple through the blogosphere. So many bloggers were talking about them so I had to see what the hype was about. Now that I’ve got some of their items I can completely understand why they are such a beloved company. When my items arrived they were packaged very carefully. The earrings came in this cute little bag with the logo stamped on. When I opened the bag I saw they were also protected in a box with the logo stamped on it. When a company packs their items with so much care I know that they are truly aiming to deliver the best products to their customers.
For all of my readers who have sewing skills or are DIYer’s you should know Shabby Apple also has a “Practically Perfect” section with their sale items. They sell items that may be missing a button or have some other small imperfection at a discounted price. I am totally willing to sew on a button if it means saving money on an item.
Have you bought anything from Shabby Apple? What are your favorite items?

I thought I would switch things up today with a “Dream Closet” outfit I created on Polyvore.
In a dream world we would all have endless bank accounts and be able to buy all of the beautiful clothing we wanted. Alas, I certainly do not, so the outfits in my closet are formed on a budget. Don’t get me wrong, I am very fortunate, but I will have to start making a lot more money before you find a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes in my closet (Unless you’re reading and would like to give me a pair Mr. Louboutin!) 😉
I find myself being a huge fan of trends but never really trying them out in real life. The mint trend is a perfect example. Right now I don’t own any mint colored clothing. This polyvore set is my attempt at incorporating it without going overboard.
If I had this outfit it’d be perfect for transitioning in and out of summer. It has the summer color palette and the warmth of the jeans for slightly cooler weather.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! 🙂

Julep Mystery Box!
My Julep Mystery “It Girl” Box arrived yesterday afternoon and I was ecstatic when I saw what was inside!
How cute is this packaging? I felt like I was opening a present with all of the confetti and bright colored paper!
Left to right: Base coat, Rachel, Sandra, Jessica, Megan
Julep’s website said that each box would contain at least 2 bottles of nail polish and anywhere from $60 to $200 worth of product. My 5 bottles of polish have a value of $70 and it only cost me$19.99 for the box!
The colors I received were perfect. Rachel is a nice coppery brown shade, which will be great for fall, Sandra is a shimmery hot pink shade, Jessica is a very soft shade of baby blue, and Megan is a shimmery teal shade. I chose to wear the Megan shade first because I loved that it matched my computer case perfectly!
Another great thing about Julep polish is that it does not contain many of the harsh chemicals typically found in nail polishes. Julep’s website says, “Julep Nail Color is “4-free” and does not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, or DBP. Our professional chip-resistant formulation is delivered via our exclusive flat brush with micro-frayed brush hairs.”
If Julep runs the Mystery Box special again I can assure you I will be first in line! 🙂
Did you order a mystery box? If so, what did you get inside? If not, do you think you’ll order one if they are offered in the future?

In honor of the closing ceremonies I added a touch of gold to my fingers and toes!
Nail Polish: Spa Ritual in Solstice
I absolutely love this polish. I admit, normally I wouldn’t be so bold as to wear it all over my nails but my mom pointed out that the Olympics were the perfect excuse to do so. My Julep “mystery box” is scheduled to arrive today. I am hoping that I will be able to share my haul with you later this week.
Did you catch the closing ceremonies? What was your favorite part? Are you already psyched for Rio in 2016?
I hope your week is getting off to a great start!

Today’s post brings another amazing find from my double outlet trip a few weeks ago.
Dress: LOFT Outlet
I feel like I should be headed for a tea party in this colorful floral print reminiscent of a watercolor painting. This dress has a nice tailored shape and stunning colors. The beautiful ruffles and buttons at the top give it lovely detail.
Can you believe I only paid $12.77 for this dress?! This is another find from the LOFT Outlet. If you have a LOFT Outlet nearby I highly recommend making a trip. (LOFT Outlet clothing is exclusive to their outlet stores, the items aren’t on the LOFT website). The quality of their clothing is fantastic and the prices can’t be beat!
I am hoping to make another trip to the outlets soon. In my opinion, there is nothing more exciting on a shopping trip than finding high quality fashion at such a low price.
Where do you find your best clothing deals? Are you an outlet shopper too?
Enjoy your weekend!

I’m really loving my sale shorts from the LOFT Outlet. Today I paired them with this polka dot top.
Top: Forever21 (Last season)
Shorts: LOFT Outlet
I got this top from Forever21. I’ve worn it many different ways. With jeans, shorts, skirts… it’s so versatile! I absolutely love Forever21 because their items are so reasonably price and yet they look so good.
The shorts I’m wearing have become a fabulous investment. I’ve already worn them several times, and if you remember, I bought them at a great price!
Click on the links below to check out all the different ways I’ve worn them so far!
Light Blue Floral
Do you have a favorite piece that you can never get enough of? How many different ways can you wear it?
I hope you’re all having a great week! It’s almost Friday! 🙂

This lovely beach cover-up is a gift from my mom.
Dress: My local Hallmark Store
Believe it or not she bought this dress at our local Hallmark Store for only $15! Our Hallmark has a corner of the store that looks like a little boutique. They sell dresses, handbags, sandals, tops, and more along with the usually cards and gifts.
The other interesting thing about this dress is that it is labeled “One size fits all”. The fabric is stretchy and the elastic waist has quite a bit of give. The fabric is incredibly soft and breathable.
I love this dress for any beach or lake trips. It is easy enough to throw on but also looks quite nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to stop at a casual restaurant for a meal after a day at the beach in this dress. The fabric won’t wrinkle if I toss it in a beach bag while I’m out in the sun. When I pull it out of the bag it looks just as good. I think it’s a great summer piece!
How do you cover up at the beach? Do you wear sundresses? Shorts?
Enjoy your afternoon!

In honor of the lovely weather we had this past weekend, this post features my new bikini!
Swimsuit: Victoria’s Secret
Over the weekend I took it easy and spent my afternoons resting and floating in the pool.
I got this bathing suit from Victoria’s Secret. For the past few years I have bought my bathing suits exclusively from Victoria’s Secret. There is something about the fit that is just perfect. The stripes on this suit are what caught my eye when I was shopping. They’re fun without looking too young. The top has a removable halter strap that I choose not to use in the pool. For a day at the beach I’d throw it on for the extra support.
How was your weekend? Was it warm where you are? How do you beat the heat?

I’ve still got some pieces from my double outlet trip with my mom from a couple of weeks ago.
Top: Banana Republic Outlet (Only available at outlet store)
Shorts: LOFT Outlet (Only available at outlet store)
Sandals: Nine West (last season)
Earrings: Lia Sophia
You’ve seen the shorts in previous posts (like this one) but the shirt is a new item. I spotted this on the petite clearance rack at the Banana Republic Outlet store. The bold blue color popped right out of the rack and when I took it out I knew I needed to have it. The best part was that it was marked down from an original price of $39.99 to $12.97! Needless to say, it was coming home with me.
The top by itself flows away from the body quite a bit. To keep it from swallowing me up I borrowed the belt from this dress and cinched it at the waist.
It’s still been super steamy and hot up here in New England. I’ll be spending my Friday relaxing in the pool. How are you beating the heat today?
